Cats anti-parasite treatment

Worming

Roundworms and tapeworms are the main types of worm that can be detrimental to your cat's health, in some cases causing serious illness. In kittens we recommend a more intensive worming regime, usually once every 2 weeks until they are 12 weeks of age. Thereafter, we usually cater our worming advice to the individual, depending on your cat's lifestyle. We would usually recommend a consultation with one of our vets or nurses to discuss the advice for your individual animal.

Lungworm is generally not accepted to be of significant risk to cats.

Ectoparasites

As with dogs, fleas, mites and lice can all cause health issues in cats; the most common of these being the flea infestation.

We usually recommend treatment once a month with a veterinary-grade preventative spot on.
